Cookware Question?
Okay, so that dreaded time of replacing the pots and pans has arrived for us. I thought this would be easy and found some pretty red Farberware, but, as it turns out, I’m completely ignorant of this subject. The Farberware ones were not dishwasher safe and are not suitable for glass/ceramic stovetops. Who knew?
So, I guess, my question is, has anyone found a decent set that is both suitable for glass/ceramic stovetops and dishwasher safe? Any opinions of brands and types would be greatly helpful! I can get over the dishwasher safe idea, if I have to, but only for a really great set of pans!
About 4 years ago I bought a set of Farberware 18/20 Stainless pots, but I couldn’t find a set with everything I wanted. I had to purchase one set of pots, and another of pans. Then still more single pieces to get the strainers, fondue set and double boiler. However, that said – I’ve never regretted the purchases. I love them! I don’t use my dishwasher, but they state dishwasher safe. Don’t know, I’ve never tried it. All the pot/pan sets I see now, even Farberware are that non-stick stuff. But I don’t see the professional chefs using it, so why would I? Just a thought.
